Situated on the beautiful island of Ios, our hotel is known for its exceptional F&B service, offering guests an exquisite dining experience from morning to late night. About the Role
As the Maître D’ Hotel, you will oversee our diverse F&B operations, including a bustling breakfast service, a relaxed lunch by the pool, and an elegant fine dining experience in the evening. Your role will be pivotal in managing restaurant bookings, always ensuring seamless service, and leading the F&B team to deliver outstanding guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Management: Supervise the F&B operations across different service periods – breakfast, lunch, dinner, bar service and room service.
- Restaurant Bookings: Manage restaurant reservations, optimizing seating and dining experiences for guests.
- Team Leadership & Training: Lead, motivate and train the F&B team, ensuring high performance, efficient service delivery. foster a work environment emphasizing empowerment, respect, and passion for service.
- Product Knowledge: Have a thorough understanding of all menus, to assist guests and guide the team. Demonstrate exceptional knowledge of all aspects of F&B.
- Quality Control: Ensure all F&B areas are clean and safe, staff are well-groomed, and the culture of hospitality is in line with the hotel’s high standards.
- Feedback and Recovery: Address guest feedback effectively and implement service recovery procedures as needed.
- Collaboration with Cost Control: Work closely with cost control for F&B orders and purchases while maintaining costs in line with budgets.
Candidate Profile
- Experience: Proven experience as a Maître D’ Hotel, preferably in a luxury boutique hotel setting.
- Languages: Excellent command of Greek and English. Additional language skills are advantageous.
- Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, people management and customer service skills.
- Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of F&B operations, including fine dining service and beverage management. Wine certification is an additional advantage. Micros Knowledge.
- Characteristics: A team player with a flexible approach and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
